While reading madisonion51's person, who would be deserving, I would say Stephen Lewis, who is the former UN Secretary-General's special envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, who has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize last week. His job composed of finding out what the situation was like on the ground, and reporting directly to the Secretary-General. He has done an amazing job of raising awareness to the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa. I attended a lecture featuring his son, Avi Lewis, a journalist.

Apparently, Stephen is in therapy, because of the horrible stuff he witnessed in Africa, talking to ONE person. Avi joked that his therapy composed of speaking to thousands of people at a time.

If you're curious, here's a YouTube link to his closing speech at the 2006 AIDS conference. He's such an amazing speaker.

EDIT: Hang on, actually, this lecture is a better representation of what he has spoken about, telling it like it is:

It would be the gentleman who witnessed a young man, while having an epileptic seizure, fall on to the tracks in front of an oncoming train, and threw himself on top of him and held him still while the train ran over them both. Also, while his young children were watching. This deed saved the young man's life while risking his own.

His courage, and caring for another human being restored many people's faith in humanity including my own.

Gerard Way because he's influenced so many people and has helped out so many 'lost-soul' teens find a reason to keep on living :) but hey, that's just my opinion. But who ever it is, IT HAS BETTER NOT BE OUT STUPID MORONIC PRESIDENT.
