Like the anti-war protestors that spat on troops as they came back from battle? Like the liberal mouth piece that called them stupid due to a botched joke? Find a girlfriend or boyfriend and just live life.

No, it was the Bush Administration's lack of planning and underestimating the enemy that derailed the war. The war in Iraq was destined to be a failure the minute that Rumsfeld presented the plan and his top selling point was that it would only take $1 billion. During war planning, you plan to win. In all aspects. Dollar amounts should not be a concern to the Secretary of Defense.

They also failed to acknowledge and counter what has made these terrorists and insurgents so successful in the first place, propaganda. The only reason people in Iraq and around the world join terrorists groups is because they become sympathetic to them and know how to get in contact with them. They see images and hear speeches and fall for the propaganda that the groups put out there.

I just love these backhanded questions asked by people who really don't want to hear others opinions...But I am bored so...

Anti-war protesters do nothing for/against the war..they are only important in their own little minds.

Yes. the liberal media has had a serious effect on the war in Iraq. The reporting has been largely one sided and politically motivated. I cannot imagine how WWII would have turned out if there were instant reporting on every mistake made by the allied forces (and there were MANY).

Our society expects instant gratification and the 24 hr news coverage of every death in the war has exhausted the average American. How long did it take and how many lives were lost to establish a functioning democracy in the U.S? To write a Constitution?

How about Japan?

Look back at Vietnam. The military won the battles technology wish, but the press, anti war personal & the politicians lost the war. One should only go to WAR if they intend to do what it takes to win it. Police action is definded as a stalemate.

One can only win the peace in a war on TERRORISM if one can challenge the individual to have a vested interest in a peaceful future.

When one goes to war over religion, it is totally a war of choice. No one knows for sure what your religion is unless you tell them. Then only the "ALMIGHTY" knows for sure if you have a relationship. You can fool yourself, but (S)HE knows for sure.

The Iraq war was a bad idea and was also poorly planned. The media and anti-war people didn't cause that. However, now that we are in this mess, they are doing everything possible to guarantee failure.

It was the politicians running the war, instead of those that studied running wars. The military men were left to watch the politicians play war and fail miserably.

And maybe if GW would have listened to his military advisors instead of just thinking he knew best, we wouldn't have this fiasco called a war.

I'm sure Rove has been spinning that one for awhile. It must be tough facing your own incompetence. Then to be forced to realize that not everyone thinks your way is the right way - I wonder if Daddy can fix that one for him, too. This is the most vile and evil administration ever to head this nation.

No -- questionable intelligence and the failure to execute caused the wars to fail. It is not saying much about our military if all it takes is a few libs and some media criticizing the President to bring the war down.

How could the media have caused Bush to fail? They were in support of Iraq until it started turning bad. As for the protesters, they don't have any real affect on the war. They are not over their fighting.
