A great website for getting reviews of restaurants is http://www.chowhound.com. Lots of people ask questions and review restaurants for Sacramento and other cities at this site.

Sacramento is located on the Delta....a river goes from Sacramento through the Delta to San Francisco. There are lots of water activities, white water rafting, etc. to do.

Lake Tahoe is beautiful....and less than 2 hours from Sacramento.

If you like wine, there are some great wineries to visit in Amador County (30 min. away), El Dorado County (30 min. or so away), south in Lodi, and west into Napa and Sonoma counties.
Check out http://www.cheers2wine.com for more information and for free wine tasting coupons.

Good luck in California!

I grew up in Sacramento and still have family there. There is a lot to do near Sacramento since with in 2 1/2 hours you can be in San Fransico (west), Lake Tahoe or Reno Nevada. As far as eating there are many good restraunts in Sacramento and the Surounding area.

I am sorry to say this, but Sacramento is kind of a pit! It's a hick town. Lots of Meth heads, lots of gang bangers, and not a lot of interesting culture. San Francisco, on the other hand, is paradise.

verify interior the paper and pass to assets sales. There you will locate all sorts of fixtures and residential equipment at functional fees. anybody is in basic terms attempting to do away with it. additionally, seek for infant products at storage sales. some nonetheless have the tags on them because of the fact they have been by no skill used. There are companies like United way and Salvation military that still can help with fixtures. My suggestion is to attend and notice with youyself. you will not have the skill to get each and every thing at as quickly as, yet you do prefer the purposes for you and infant. attempt to characteristic a splash extra each and each month or so till you have your house looking like a cushty abode. Groceries? in case you prepare dinner, approximately $20.00 each and every week. good good fortune... and hit those assets sales.
