I want to use latex gloves while taking the PSU out of my Dimension 4600 and I have the instructions from the Dell site how to. But I am wondering should I go buy a anti-static wrist strap or should I use my wooden floor or case to ground myself or should I use gloves?

the anti static strap is used to protect computer components not yourself...if you plan to open up your PSU then you really don't want to be wearing one....it's a good way to complete a circuit

In any case, just taking the PSU out of the case isn't a big deal. as long as you're not opening it up you can unbolt it from the case worry free.

wrap a piece of any type of non-insulated metal around your wrist and ground it to the case and you will have no trouble at all, or go buy a wrist strap if you want to spend the coin,, I always just use a piece of wire and I am a technician working in a repair shop
