I participated in the monthly blogging contest of ibibo.com and had a Blog title Soulful Poetry to Change your lives and you...I posted to this blog thousands of posts working day and nights...expecting that I will emerge amonst top bloggers.The contest for february month was to end at 12 PM night on 13-feb 2007.My hardwork paid off when I found that I was ranked 49th at 11.48 PM on 13 feb 2007.To my horror I found at 12.01 that -just two minutes later..that I was relegated to rank 154 .In two miutes flat,without giving me any reason or assigning any cause the website had manipulated my rank down by more than 105 positions.There was no way by which any other competing blogger could overtake me by posting in those 2-3 minutes.I was entitled to a prize of Rs.40000 ;however I checked up later from site records that now it went to another blogger who had posted much less.My 15-20enquiries sent by emails/feedback to website got no resonse.Could you tell me where I can seek redressal.

Well, their rules say they reserve the right to disqualify any participant, you weren't disqualified but your position was changed in a couple of minutes, which seems impossible. According to the last rule you can settle a dispute in New Delhi courts, but since you never won anything, it'll be very hard to prove.
They've also said they will not entertain any correspondence regarding the competition. Unless someone from the company can check their records and verify that something was wrong, its going to be nearly impossible to prove.
Thats what I think anyway.

yOU HAVE THE OPTIONS OF APPROACHING A CONSUMER FORUM,REQUESTING FOR AN ORDER BANNING THE ACTIVITIES OF THE WEBSITE APART FROM ORDERING A FULL FINANCIAL INVESTIGATION IN ITS FUNDING AND PRIZE AWARDING FUNCTION;YOU CAN ALSO FILE A PETITION UNDER RESTRICTIVE PRACTICES ALEGING HARRASSMENT AND CLAIM DAMAGES OVER AND ABOVE YOUR PRIZE MONEY.....4-5 TIMES THE PRIZE MONEY DAMAGES CAN BE AWARDED BY A COURT.....
