The Patriots do a great job stressing team over individual. That is the primary reason Dillon wanted out. The Patriots offense isn't dependent on a 1500 yard rusher. Any solid runner with good hands has a chance. Obviously, the higher the quality of the back, the less stress you have elswhere. I just think they have set a structure other teams should emulate.

Dillon is used up.
He will go somewhere, but he will never be what he was in Cincinnati.
Marony is the new kid on the block, and when he gets the majority of the carries, he will be a very solid back.
Wether or not he is one of the elite is yet to be seen.
But no one on the Pats is really in the elite at any position with the exeption of Brady.
Should be fun to watch.

What kind of question is that? I'm not Maroney. Who cares if I'm ready. Are they ready?

Although Dillon's best years are behind him I'd rather he was a Patriot and not a friggin' Jet to be. (Anyone doubt Mangini picks him up just to kick us in the heart?)

Maroney will get shut down next year and the patriots run game will suffer greatly, Maroney did so well because he had someone who could spell him, now they dont have anyone decent.

well we don't know the pats aren't gonna sign another running back but maroney seems like he can handle the load on his own he may not have a great first season but he will eventually be good.

i'm ready to see maroney's numbers fall off when he gets overworked because they don't have a legitimate #2 option
