I think it's no coincidence that my sense of humour is so much like my mum's. She finds it necessary to ring me to tell me about funny things she's seen because she knows I'm the only other person she knows who will get the joke. I don't think this is a genetic thing though, I think it was my parents who developed my particular sense of humour, but I'm not sure this is true of everyone - for example, my boyfriend has a great sense of humour, but his parents don't seem to have one at all. I do think it's nurture not nature though.

Everybody has a sense of humour we just laugh at different things. Some people laugh at anything (like me) others take a bit more to get them going. I reckon it tends to depend on your attitude to life if you are easy going and relaxed then you will find lots of things funny. If your uptight then it will be much harder.

Some are born with one whereas others have to go to school to get one, some go onto university to try harder but its still doesn't give them one.
