Hi everyone
i am trying to find the best places in London where i can spend a nice free afternoon/evening either by my self or someone special, somewhere where u can see the best sunset or may be the highest hill in London, few years ago i was in a hill and there is a tower or casel, it was amazing but i don't remember where it was, i know we went there by boat and its in London :(
any special place i would really appreciate it, i live in London and work all the time so i never have time to see the real thing

The highest point in London is Westerham Heights on the London - Kent border but it's not really all that high.
As for the best place to see sunsets, it's purely opinion but if you can get out to the South Downs you'll get some nice sunsets from there.
If you've got a weekend spare and really want some stunning sunsets then go to the west coast of Scotland. You can sit on top of a high mountain with mountains and lochs all around and watch the sun setting across the Atlantic and disappearing behing the jagged outline of the offshore islands. Then... you can descend the mountain and spend the night round an open fire on a deserted beach. If that sounds like fun then go the the Isle of Skye and watch the sun set from Blaven or Sgur Na Stri (mountains) then descend to Camasunary bay, if the weather turns bad there's a small empty house in the bay you can stay in for free. You can catch your supper from the sea, river or loch and cook it on an open fire. Wonderful.

Depends where you live in London?
Horsendon Hill in West London (Perivale, Ealing) has great views to the west, and on a clear evening a terrific sunset can be seen, if your central, Try the London Eye, great,

Try Parliament Hill in Hamstead. A place that you get to by boat sounds lke Greenwich, the castle is up a hill from the river.
