Sounds like a fungus to me too. Treat by doing a 50% water change and adding 2 tablespoons of salt per 5 gallons of the tank. Remove the carbon from the filter. Treat with any one of several fungus treatments avilable over the counter at pet stores. Mardel labs produces a very fine fungus treatment. Also, Malachite green, which is an active ingredient in many ick medications is very effective against most fungi. So yes, too get rid of fungus you can treat with ick medicine if it has Malachite green in it. (CAUTION: Malachite Green is a known carcinogen. Be careful not to get it on your skin!) Treat for at least 7 days and you should be fungus free.

it must be an ick. you don't need to go to a veterenarian, pet shop to get it treated nor buy medicine for it. it only requires clean water, after the three days the ick will disappear. bUT DO NOT BE CONFIDENT CLEAN THE TANK AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK FOR A MONTH. gOOD LUCK!!!!!!!=)

Your fish either has fin rot or ick! Go to PetCo and get some water treatment or you wont have "Guppy" anymore... hurry!

It probably has ich. You can get an ich cure at a pet shop for about $8, but it probably costs about 50 times as much as getting a new guppy. It's up to you.
