im not sure if my graphics card is good enough for playing games on my toshiba laptop. i bought sims 2 but i lag alot in the game and its on low grapics which blows but i can play half life 2 on my laptop so i know i can play sims 2. i just want to know if i can change the driver companies that really support games. my info on driver is intel (R) 82852/82855 gm/gme graphics controller. i wanna know if i can switch to invdia or etc. i already update it but it still sucks and i dont buy anything i jsut want a better company and i dont know if this is possible! pls HELP!!!

No, it's not possible to change your video board on a laptop, as the video capability is built into the computer's motherboard. (Actually, there is a PCMCIA video adapter for laptops but it is really intended for OLD laptops that are more than five years old.)

With a reasonably new laptop (newer than three years), you can increase your video memory by increasing the computer's memory. If your computer has only 512 MB of RAM, increase it to 1 GB of RAM. In most recent laptops, this will increase the display memory from 64 MB to 128 MB. In addition, the extra RAM for program use will make the software run faster.

So if your laptop has 512 MB of RAM, increase it to 1 GB. If it has 1 GB, taking it to 2 GB may help a little but probably not a big difference.
