To answer the question, I truly think that Bush and his cadre of neo-cons are so convinced that what they are doing is right, that this is just seen to them as collateral damage. If the whole population was wiped out, I doubt they would care, as long as they "won" in Iraq.

I hate watching killing. But the terrorists are willing to attack their own country's citizens to spread their fanatic lies. I hate it. I think we should continue to fight the War on Terror. I think the UN should close its grip upon Iran and other nations. You are right, the death toll is too high. But it is not our fault. It is the fault of the terrorists. And to lesson our fight against them is to increase our tolerance towards them. Do you tolerate terrorism? I do not.
