Do dragon fish ever come out of hiding because evertime I see him he doesn't even come out to eat. Yes he is alive. But do you think he comes out while I am not looking?

I don't have one now, but have had them inthe past. That is a rather shy fish and prefers to hide alot. It probably does come out a lot when you aren't in the room. If you were to sit very very still away from the tnk fr a while you would probably see him come out more.

These fish are nocturnal. They are also very shy. He may come out at night, when the lights are off and he feels secure. You should probably feed him after the lights go out.
