I'm talking about disadvantages as in where will that put us humans? won't it make more people unemployed? wont it mean people who want a job need more education to learn how to work these machines? wont that cost money?? what else will this lead to?

It just makes everyone more poor. How are we suppose to have jobs and pay the rent if robtos take over. Everything's cost goes up for us and jobs go down.

I have yet to see a disadvantage. Automation is why the U.S. with less than 5% of the world's population manufacturers 20% of the world's goods. Automation allows a single person to produce as much as 50 people working with their hands.

The simple way to look at it is shovels and bulldoziers. One man with a bulldozier can move as much dirt as an army of men with shovels. Which means he produces more wealth, earns more wealth and lives a better life.

If there is a down side it is that roughly speaking for every 8 people displaced to other jobs by automation it requires 1 additional mechanic/technician to keep the machines running. We have lots of George Jetson's willing to sit in front of machines and push the buttons and pull the levers. But we are quickly running out of people that have the brains necessary to keep the machinery running and the willingness to get their hands dirty to make it happen.

disadvantages are you can't do a quickie with a machine in the back room.

if we only could send a couple of thousand such machines to Iraq to fifgt our war on terror.
