LOVE is anterior to life,
Posterior to death,
Initial of creation, and
The exponent of breath.

-Emily Dickinson

What are your thoughts on this? From a philisophical standpoint?

It's not for homework.. It's anything but that, please. I hate those questions.

Hmm. Philosophically, I think it's just a teensy bit fantastical, to be honest. Love isn't involved in rape, after all. But she does show how it is for the rest of life; without it, we don't exist, either by the love that realized our individual conception, or the love we don't share with others. (I think.)

Too short, too pointed, too much room for interpretation and speculation. basically a person without much time for conversation.
