What is the real purpose of political quizzes?

what is really going on when someones asks you 25 questions and thinks they know who you are politically? Any suggestions about that?

They're either doing a survey or trying to push out their own agenda. Even if it's a site like politicalcompass.org, they provide a service in order to get people to visit their site and use the other options which contain political opinions and product offers.

There's no such thing as a free lunch......
