Over 20 air strikes in Baghdad today. More indiscriminate killing?

Is Cheney's ominous message today the start of Iranian attack?

diogenese... In Alambra, when the Brits were there, Sunni and Shiite warriors used the Army and themselves as daily target practice, ever since the Brits gave up that region, NOT ONE, and I mean not ONE, bomb has gone off and the people have found a way of living amongst each other. Don't buy this patriachal BS that the US need to be a buffer. The US is there to steal their oil... PERIOD

We didn't have a plan and still don't have a plan to prosecute the war and get out.

I think that Bush and his allies have to make some sort of a normal life for the Iraqis, even if it's just basic infrastucture. After all the time and effort that has been put into this war, the more I think about it the more I think it's a bad idea to withdraw now. It's going to take years and years to get peace in and around that region, so they have to take over the reigns and be self reliant sometime, but when is the question. They are better off setting a clear target (like getting the Iraqi army to operate to full capacity, and fixing basic living conditions) and then saying your on your own, or it's never going to end

So, would you prefer they just blow themselves away by the hundreds? Because that is what they were doing. We did have a victory 4 years ago, we toppled Saddam. It was the last intelligent thing we managed over there, it has been all downhill since.

So, how would YOU go about stopping Iraqis from killing Iraquis? We are all hoping somebody can come up with a better plan than Bush's.

Additional:

So you believe that us leaving is all it will take to stop that civil war, or are there other steps you think might be needed?

I am serious about this, I am no supporter of Bush, I would like us to clean up the mess we made one way or another. I don't see where leaving alone will stop that bloodbath. What else would you propose along with (not instead of) leaving? That really is the crux of the issue.

I agree with the guy on top. There is long way to go. The police force is somewhat corrupted and the military are not completely ready to defend themselves. Indiscriminate killing? Like indiscrimately killing terrorists? Come on. I hate it when people call us the terrorists. Have there been cases of terrorism? Yes-Abu Grab prison. But a couple of cases do not represent the whole. There are the exception rather than the rule. We are not doing the terrorizing, the insurgents of the Shiite and Sunni ranks are.

We are not terrorizing anyone in Baghdad!!!, but I do agree that we should let them live as they would like, they just need to stay the hell out of our country if they want to kill each other. That is why we are there because people there want to come to our country and kill. Do you want our peopled killed???
Also Trust me on this. Missile from air strikes almost never hit anything they didn't mean to. Accidents do happen, but hey you could get hit walking out your front door today.

Maybe the man though you were still there?

Oh yeah, you've never been there, you don't know anything but what some stiff-neck liberal on the news media tells you to think!

Stand up and take some action like Mark Daily did! Its takes courage to ACT; more than just posting on a message board!

Only a "terrorist" would accuse U.S. troops of terrorizing civilians. The truth is U.S. troops are now the "dam" that is holding back a "flood" against the minority Sunni Muslims by Iranian sponsored (and paid for) Shia militias.

Iran is directly contributing to the death of our troops who are trying to help keep Iraq free and self-determining. Iran's fate is in Iran's hands. They are getting plenty of fair warning, just as Saddam got.

Why don't you Islamo Fascists go the Al-Jazeera! Answers website? No one here believes your lies.

Oh, that's right, I forgot. They don't let foreigners spread dis-information on their site! We only allow that in America.

People like you just need to shut up. All you do is complain with no real answers. If you can't speak out against what is going on with a solution to the problem, then simply shut-up.

Would you be so kind as to provide your sources for your reference for "indiscriminate killing"?

As to Cheney's "ominous" message, would you be so kind as to clarify what you mean by ominous?

Thanks.

Oh well. Better over there than here. Who says it is indiscriminate? Oh yeah, so you want Iran to drop an atom bomb on someone?
