Argentine tango for sure
..although I'd say more passionate and intimate than romantic.
The closeness and suggestive moves with deep partner connection cannot be matched by any other dance.
If you want slow and somewhat disassociated dance try the rumba.
Salsa isn't romantic. It's disconnected between partners. It's fun and flirty designed to show off moves. It's mostly to have fun which sometimes continues in the bedroom. The Argentine tango has a deep connection that if you can pull it off will have thr opposite number yearning for more- anyway possible (use your imagination here)

I think you can make any type of dance romantic. Ballet is romantic to watch, and ca even be to perform. The tango is deffinitily romantic. Along with the waltz, the fox torts, and basically all Spanish dances.

Tango is most passionate and can be most romantic, but overall it comes in third behind rumba and waltz.

Oops! Sorry, Natalie, I answered without reading the other answers. I should have just given you a star.

I think rumba, followed by waltz (come on...who doesn't have their first dance as husband and wife as a waltz?) then...tango. Although i would say that tango is rather more 'passionate' than 'romantic'

the waltz, what can be more romantic than swirling round a dance floor, than being held close by the man/woman you love and dancing.

Since ur from argentina u probably know this. What is the difference between Argentine tango, international tango and American tango? Is the Argentine tango style the one you see in all the movies that is really sexy/romantic?

The Tango. They say it's the dance of love, it's showing the love between two people. It shows how stong their love is. So, you are right.

Latin American music generally sounds the same to me whether it's Tago, salsa, rumba or something simular, but the most romantic music does come from there.

Tango is beautiful to watch, but it's too complicated. I think rumba and bellydancing are romantic.
