The dress I want is no longer available to order. The one in the store is way too long and needs major alterations. The lady in the store said she could make it work. Original price is $1000 and she said she would sell for $700 and that includes alterations. Good deal or bad deal? I really wanted a dress that had not been tried on, any opinions!! It is my dream dress, help!!!

I have a Magie too. Which style did you chose? I would take the sample if it is you dream dress. You may regret it if you don't. Just check it for damage really well and find out how much it will cost to get it cleaned.

What difference does it make if the dress has been tried on? Take a good look at it and as long as it's clean, there shouldn't be a problem.

What is this for anyways? I hope it's not for a prom or something, cause that's a lot of money to pay for a dress that you'll only wear once.

I got my prom dress for $20 from a Christmas Sale. I looked exactly like the dress in the magazines that were going for $200, and I got to wear it to 3 different events. The best $20 I ever spent.

Another option: Find pictures of it and take them to a tailor. Have the dress made to your exact specifications. It will cost a fraction of the pre-made dress's price.
