Put up a WEP encryption key. Also, only allow the mac addresses of your wireless computers to access your router. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your browser. You should be able to configure the settings in your router there. You're paying for your internet, why should anyone else get to use it for free. If they're good enough, they can access information in your PC and even prevent you from going online. So try to take action as soon as possible. What they're doing is illegal anyways.

It is not so dangerous but the intruder can use your IP to do bad things though, but you won't get in any trouble. Well, you can.

But, listen: Insert the wireless CD into your Desktop ROM. Follow on screen instruction and select the option where you need to enable a password... Remember to store your password at a safe place for further referrence... That's it; no one can ever connect to your wireless connection, unless you give them the password.
But rest assured that if someone does something illegal, you will not get in trouble because the intruder's computer also has a personal IP. This means police will trace the IP from that computer who connected to your wireless conection, so you won't get screwed... But just to stop people from connecting to your weirel;ess connection, do what I told you.

You can also set the base/hub unit to only allow known MAC numbers to access it.

Mac numbers are usualy 12 digits of letters and numbers.
It should be displayed on your Wireless device connecting to the base station. (Dont use the base stations MAC number)

Check your manual, it should show how this is done.

Use this with the encryption as mentioned by others.

Yes it can be dangerous. If the person you identify downloads pornographic material and your computer is examined, you might just get a nasty shock.
The way to stop this is to lock your wifi with a password.
Oh! Just a moment, I'm doing that just now because the main computer is upstairs and not wifi enabled. Sorry to the owner of the wifi I'm using.
