advice for moving to another state......?

i would like to move to texas or georgia to start over,i'm a single mom and don't know a thing about the two states,is there a site i can go to for some kind of help or insight...please?

It all depends on what type of surroundings you like, city, country, night life..We moved to Texas 3 years ago and live in the country.The eastern and northeastern parts are the prettiest but it gets humid..You get some pretty nasty storms and georgia does too..Realestate is a bargain and you get alot for your money..You can buy a brand new house for between 110 and up..subdivisions..Property taxes are high..People are both friendly and clannish..Texans stick together.The hill country is beautiful. Antique shops everywhere.. If your looking for city life north Austin is nice..Houston, forget it, Dallas, forget it, San Antonio no...Im sure any of these cities have websites...Its better to stay a little outside of the cities. Never have been to Goergia, but hear its even more humid than texas...and more storms...Tornados...good luck in your search...
