Ladies, go and enjoy every minute of your time there! If you are not sure where to stay I would suggest Negril, Negril Gardens hotel. It's a cheaper and smaller all inclusive located walking distance from all nightlife on 7 Mile Beach. All 3 of you can stay in 1 room, it will be about 100-135 $ per night per person. The crowd in the hotel is mostly young. I've stayed there in 2004 and I loved it. Also it's located next door to famose Alfred's Bar that has live shows 3 night a week.

Hey there!
I have been to Jamaica three times with my friends and I have loved it every time. As stated above, you should definately stick to Ocho Rios and Mo Bay. These places have lots of things to do, but are much safer than in Kingston. In Ocho Rios, go see Dunn's River Falls. It is a lot of fun to climb and the scenery is beautiful. A hotel that I would recommend in Ochi is The Hibiscus Lodge. It is a 3 star hotel on the edge of the Caribbean. It is very tidy and the staff is very hosptiable. Price is also good. You can go down to the beach and go snorkling or eat at the Almond Tree Restaurant, right there on the hotel grounds. Also has a pool, aviary, and a great view!
As for Mo Bay, a cheap but good hotel I could recommend would be the Hotel Gloriana. It is owned by a wonderful Jamaican named Gloria, and she makes sure that you are all taken care of. The hotel itself is pretty, has flowers and fruits everywhere but it isn't fancy. The Gloriana also has a pool and a restaurant. They also have delicious homemade fruit juices (try the pineapple) yum! It is a 5 minute walk from the beach.
While in Mo Bay, check out the local crafts market for cool souveniers.
I hope this info was helpful and if you need any more info, let me know!

Jamaica is a wonderful place to vacation. My wife and I were there last summer and loved it. We loved the people and the island. One thing that made our trip special was asking ourselves what we wanted in a resort and then researching to find one that fit our wishes.
You and your friends should consider doing the same thing. Ask yourselves what kind of a resort you want to stay at. Some resorts cater to children while others don't allow kids (others are very much ADULT as in the Hedonism resorts). Some resorts are fun resorts while others specialize in relaxation. Some are 5 or 6 star while others are 2 or 3 (cost is usually related to this). Some resorts have great beaches while others have little or none. These are just a few examples of questions you need to consider before choosing a resort. Remember, the biggest single factor in making a GREAT vacation is the resort.
I have heard that the best bargain in Jamaica is Club Ambiance in Runaway Bay. We are considering a trip there this year. Last year we stayed at Breezes Runaway Bay and had a wonderful time.
When you decide what you want in your resort go to TripAdvisor.com and research. Type in Jamaica in the search area and you can view every resort on the island. You can view the resort amenities and policies, view "candid traveler photos" in that section, read trip reviews written by previous visitors, and ask questions in the "forums" section. It is a tremendous resource for making a surprise free trip.

I cut and past this from the site below.
Most things that happen like this are actually taking place in Kingston, Jamaica, which is very much like a city in the States. It's just that the entire country of Jamaica gets a bad name for it. Much like you'll hear if you turn on your local news and there are bad parts of town. If you stick to Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios, you'll be fine. These are the main tourist destinations. I would highly recommend an all-inclusive resort for your family. It just makes it easier. If they are looking for activity outside of the resort, I would recommend staying in Montego Bay. They have what's called the "Hip Strip". Shopping, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Lots of tourists go here. If you decide to stay in MoBay, try the Ritz Carlton, Wyndham, Round Hill, or Half Moon resorts. I would be happy to assist with your travel plans if you need help.
Thanks!

to not many super places interior the Caribbean not to show Jamaica for singles. yet, i'd reccomend sorting out Riu Negril, i replace into there superb after it opened and there have been singles there. the cost is nice, the nutrition and the grounds are very super as properly. a pair different places to look into comprise, the trip inn sunspree and the wyndham rosehall. besides the fact that u do, do not pass to Sandals that's for couples

'Hey, I live in Jamaica....it all depends on what you are looking for. If you want nightlife, hot clubs, music and overall entertainment, Kingston is the place for you, come check out our world famous Asylum and Quad nightclubs, you could stay at the Hilton, walking distance from those hot spots.
However if you want beach and sunshine, i suggest Ochi Rios, wonderful attractions and beaches, you could go to Dunn's River, that has everything you could ever want, a river, falls and a beach all in one place!
Well if you want a mixture of everything.......Negril is the place, no doubt

me and some friends went last april, and are going this april, to silver sands villas on the north shore near montego bay. it was the best vacay ever, very affordable, not crowded with kids or drunks, beautiful and more private that you would think. many villas have private pools, spas, each have a cook and maid, very near the beach or on the beach. you will be so pleasantly suprised. look the website up and take a tour.
