The nba and Stern is a racist organization. All the black superstars are influenced by the hip-hop culture. Stern is a racist so he bands the hip-hop look and the nba has been building up Nash to be the mvp. They didn't like the way Iverson was winning mvp because of the way he looks. By being the racist they are they thought that someone that's influenced by the hip-hop culture isn't worthy enough to repesent the nba as their mvp. So they've been building the image of Nash and banding hip-hop all together. That's racist and it should be a stop to that! BLACK POWER!

p.s. It's racist because the hip-hop culture is a big part of the black culture! BLACK POWER!

Ok, listen... i'm a black man, but i disagree with you on this. I do believe that Stern doesn't accept the idea that hip hop has an incredibly huge influence on the game today, but that Nash is voted as MVP isn't necessarily his doing. Steve Nash is a very good player, and he rightfully earned that first award. Last year, it should've went to Kobe or LeBron. The problem with Stern, however, is that he's trying to sell the game on a corporate level. In order to do that, he has to give the league a makeover. That's why we have a dress code....but even that is more about money than racism. Stern doesn't even chose the MVP, so he doesn't control that Nash has won back to back awards. The writers who do vote, have backed themselves into a corner though, because his 2nd year was better than his first year, they felt there was no other option but to give it to him again. He did have a better year, but not the best in the NBA. This year, he appears to be on the way to number 3, and although i don't agree with them already giving him the title at the halfway point, i also don't feel like it's racist.

The nba's been predominantly black for a long time and the mvp's over that time are similarly black. but for the sake of argument lets look at both years.

Nash's first year the Suns didn't even make the playoffs and they had been the 8th seed two years before, Stephon Marbury out and Steve Nash in they win 62 games. Nash's assist numbers have been the best in the league and his percentages have been rediculously high. The runner up was shaquille o'neal who by that time was an even worse defensive player than even nash, and was helped by the breakout season of dwyane wade.

The second one i thought LeBron should have one. But Nash had better numbers than the first year, they lost Joe Johnson and Amare stoudemire and Nash made Boris Diaw who was a benchwarmer ON THE ATLANTA HAWKS look like a poor man's magic johnson.

To think that the voting of hundreds of writers across the country many of whom are black is influenced at all by David Stern's racial beliefs is plain stupid and irresponsible

Aren't you racist to say that a white man should basically not be playing in the NBA and winning awards even though most of his fellow players agree he is the MVP. It is getting very old blaming the fact that Steve Nash won the award on race. By the way Steve Nash was born in Africa, can you say that.

Kobe were enjoying particularly nicely in the process those years however the lakers have been additionally somewhat suffering. The team's status additionally impacts the judging that's why nash (with pheonix on doing rather good) became into the single chosen. same clarification on Dirk's mvp year.

Nash doesnt even deserve MVP all he does is pass alot. Any player can do that, and not shoot. Just like Shammond Williams, he never shoots the ball on the lakers team, and gets 4 assists in less than 20 mins. He can keep that up, and get A MVP??

NO HE CANT.

thats why nash doesnt deserve MVP, its the guy that can own the offense and defense, which is not nash, he is so bad when it comes to defense.~~~

I think he's good I think if anyone should have gotten it it should have gone to Dirk because his team had the best record and if not him then Kobe. I don't think David Stern hates blacks but I think he is being prejudice in a way by forcing other cultures to conform to his culture somewhat by enforcing dress code rules when he would have nothing without these people on the other hand it is still a difficult question to answer.

Steve Nash won the MVP because he was the heart and soul of the Suns. He could burn you on the b-ball court any day so you can just keep on hiding behind your computer and typing this racist trash.

Its not racist he deserves it. Look at what happens to the Suns when Nash is out of the lineup, they are a sub 500 team.
