Looking for a good southern private school with the best international recognition, prestige, and academics. Which is it Rice or Vandy?

But, as per http://www.xoxohth.com/thread.php?thread_id=585506&mc=7&forum_id=1, I'd recommend Vanderbilt. Much more international recognition, as their Law School makes the school more visible.

Rice is ranked 17 and Vanderbilt is ranked 18 in US News rankings, so it's really a matter of which school's culture you prefer, which city you prefer, and whethor you want to go to a big or medium sized school.
