By the way, one of you guys said, choose to be gay. If thats what you believe so be it. But, its not like they choose to be gay. Just like you dont choose to be straight. Even if your grossed out by it and you would perfer to be straight, you don't choose. God chooses.

People don't always choose to be gay but very often they do choose that. It is a shameful trend these days to say that choice is not possible but it is. Just like marrying or not marrying is a choice, celibacy and non-celibacy is a choice.
This may seem offensive to some gay people but pedophilia is so hard to cure that pedophilia of all things might be called a trait you are born with. That does not mean that you don't have a choice whether to practice pedophilia or not.
Sorry. It's just that sex is not an appetite like an appetite for food. Even fat people try to say they are absolutely helpless faced with food; drug addicts say they are absolutely helpless faced with drugs; alcoholics say they are absoluteley helpless faced with alcohol.
In all cases, we become mindless slaves to whatever is currently being sold on the market of popular consumption. And these days, gay activists have a lot to sell because they are trying to get enough votes to change laws that make them seem 'different' to the rest of us heterosexuals.
Well, sorry. They are 'different' from the rest of us heterosexuals. Legally, civil unions give gays most if not all of the rights they have been rallying for - but they still want to subvert the meaning of 'marriage' so that civil unions become second-rate choices. They claim to be parents of children when biologically, they can't have created a child. I have friends who are gay; they have two children in their household. One woman is the mother, the other woman is NOT the father. The father is a person. That's the evil secret of procreation. There's a person behind that spermatazoa who created that child.
I know another gay couple who adopted. They are the adoptive parents of two babies from Guatemala. In their world, a sort of parallel universe, they assigned themselves 'mother of Guatemalan orphan number 1' and 'mother of 'Guatemalan orphan number 2'. Those children will grow up with working brains in their head and have a healthy curiosity about who actually created them. And they will most likely seek out their 'real parents' at great expense.
This is actually a change for the worse from when I was growing up. In my younger years, it was so difficult to find your 'real parents' that few would ever try. But there has been an acknowledgement that children have a right to see the people who created them - and they will recognize those people as mother and father and want to know who their grandparents were, where they lived, etc.
I think for the average heterosexual couple adopting today, it makes adoption even harder. Adopted American-born kids want to keep in touch with all those siblings and half-siblings that exist somewhere - and there are structures in place now that allow them to do that.
Sorry, this is all 'pretend to be a guy and a girl' which is what makes homosexuality seem perverse. All the pretending. All the screaming to be recognized for something you are not. There's always radical gender-switching surgery - just go for it.

Well I do not like to judge.I don't like Homosexuality or Gay Marriage and really I don't think it should be legal. I believe in family values. So no it should not be legal. As for God choosing whether to be gay or not I am not religious but I not enough about the Bible to no that is not true. Homosexuality is a sin against God.

ya actually u do choose to be strait because god gave us freewill to see if we would still worship him without force so it is just some people have no disapline but dont pull the bible into this because there is more stuff about not eating shelfish than there is about not being gay and it could have been written based on somebody else's views like the historians who found these books and made them into the new testaments because the bible was made over 100 years after jesus and dont even call me a sinner because i am a dedicated roman catholic who are the original christians who havn't changed things since the start of christianity unlike groups who kept spliting off so they would have power and used the bible as an excuse to make them seem right by saying things like we fallow the bible closer and they are wrong because the bible is more like map to help us along the way to being better christians rather than a book of laws except for the story of moses with the 10 commandments.

Yes I am against it. It is a lifestyle against nature. There is not a creature in nature that would survive if they lived this way. I do not believe in their lifestyle choice. To me it is very wrong & gross. I will teach my kids that it is a lifestyle choice and that they need to make the right choice and date and marry a woman ( I have 2 boys- Jason 3 1/2 and Cody 6 weeks)
Think about it. If it was so right and OK people who choose to be gay could have a child with out any kind of help what so ever. AKA: A- sexual reproduction. Not possable!!!

being gay isnt a choice you f***ing dumbasses. thats like saying its a sin to be black, its not like they can help it. fundementalist christians really takes biblical interpretations to seriously. the bible was created so long ago that it has been misenterpreted many times because of the difference in language over time. I really dont get why you guys have to see everything in that perspective, it just shows how ignorant you are. I dont think God would condemn a person to eternal damnation for something they cant control at all.

The definition is wrong for same-sex couples. Correctly, it should be a civil union status. All marriages are basically civil unions, with the payment to a church person to say the words. If this church ritual were eliminated, then all unions would be equal.
Maintaining their political grasp on these unions is an important source of revenue, so there will continue to be a controversy.
Given a 70% divorce rate, I don't see much long term benefit in any type of unions. Best wishes if they can make it.

No actually, i am not. I don't understand why there is such a huge controversy about it. OK, so our country is seperate from religion right? But the only reason it is not allowed some places is because its "In the Bible" i'm catholic and all, but that's just stupid. Sorry for going off topic. But, NO, i am not agains Gays.
