I do not generally believe they last. There can be though some exceptions. Generally however the major obstacles exist in the way each one has been raised. People's customs, family values,or religion have important effects on peoples' characters and their views about life. This often lead to disagreements in a couple. People from the same race have many problems relating to these, so imagine how well an interacial couple, two people with completely different backgrounds and views, will get along in the long run. especially when they start a family. That is my view but of course, if they share real true love, then maybe they do last... I am not really sure

I'm mainly Irish/Puerto-Rican with light skin, my girlfriend is Jamaican, black as the night. This is the closest, most meaningful relationship I've ever been in. We've been together for a little over a year and although we've had many issues (none to do with race), we're only getting closer as the time goes by.
Some relationships work, most don't. Race doesn't even come into play unless one of the parties involved is a closet racist.

Well No, Most people who have racial issues don't get into interracial relationships.

Sure if someone is getting with a white girl because they think it some kind of status symbol, or if she's getting with this black guy because he's got a big thing or she's going to show my parents, more than likely it isn't going to work for longer than six months.

Most people can't handle them why? Because you have to see yourself and other people as 'WHO' you/they are instead of 'What' you/they are. This is why interracial relationships break up.

i have seen interacial relatationships last for a long time,it is very possible.i do think that when they part it is due to race issues not with the couple but with people outside of their circle like parents, family members, neighbors and co-workers. but you have to be strong and realize that people are mean and what they don't understand they attack. nothing in wrong when you love each other.

As long as the two people involved get along, an interracial relationship will last as long as any relationship. No one can say that an interracial relationship will or will not last, the same as with any relationship. Its not the interracial relationship that is at question, rather the two people involved in the relationship.

out of all the interacial relationships i know of, they last just as long as if they were the same race. the ones that didn't last broke up over the same things that non interracial couples faced, infidelity, drugs, failure to communicate and out growing one another.

why would they not? look at the course of history people have been mixin' it up waaaaay before 2007 and interracial relationships are the same as any relationship why should they differ? if it goes up in flames its a issue of one party not doing what they need to do to make it work or both parties.

It depends wether or not they let other people try to breake them up or not. Because why would you be in an interacial realationship if race didn't matter to you???

Mine has lasted for almost a year thus far. We already have plans to get married. We don't see the "race thing" as much as other people do. We're just two nerds in love!
