I'm doing pretty good in high school (although I do lack a social life) but now that I'm a senior, I realize that I don't have any direction. I've taken almost all AP classes but now that I'm going to college, I don't know what to major in. I've sent my apps already and for my intended major I put down Biomedical Engineering and computer science because I want to end sufferring as best I can and with computer science, I can maybe go into video game design if Bio. Engineering doesn't work out. But now, I'm starting to have doubts if that is really what I want to do.

I want to know what I'm really good at and I need your advice in helping me find that.

Doesn't your college have some type of aptitude placement tests to determine this? By obtaining information from you, they find your likes and dislikes and your skill levels and match this with different possibilities that you can choose. Check with your guidance counsellor.

Biomedical Engineering is roughly what I wanted to do when I attended college. The terminology was different , but same principle. I let a part-time job turned full-time because of management illness lead me away from college into a full-time low paying job. Hey! It was a lot more money than i was making at the time and a company car w/benefits. If you truly want to end suffering, and pain...........then by all means go for it. Gunge Ho! I will wish forever i had somehow stayed in college and gotten my degree and was involved in medical research. I am constantly coming up with ideas about medical research that drive me nuts. I have been away from college since1983. The thought processes that are my desires never cease. Decide what you truly want to do and GO FOR IT! My Best Wishes! Prayer never hurts.

your young so you do have some time. i know no one wants to keep changing their major or have to take more classes when your almost finished but sometimes its like that. if you are really determined to find your niche, i suggest getting an occupational handbook ava at the local library, and looking into different careers. it will show you the expected job growth, pay, benefits etc. also you can take career tests on line, and some high schools do this, you may want to check with your senior counselor. another good thing is to ask people around you what they think some of your strengths and weaknesses are and try to match them to a job profile. don't get offended if they say something you don't like.interview people in careers you think you might like, more people will do it than you think.finally ask yourself what would i do if money wasn't an issue? good luck with your studies and finding your way.
