My mom always told me it was "fashionable" but I see people do it.

I wouldn't reccomend it, especially if it gets snowy where you live. My pants always get dirty from road salt and snow even just getting into my car, so I don't think white would work well.

It used to be a huge fashion no-no to wear white between Labor Day and Easter but now anything goes. If anyone gives you crap just say it's "winter white"- supposedly the more ivory tones were allowable as a winter seasonal palette.
It used to be you never went out without wearing a hat, or white cotton or kidskin gloves, either. My Nana was never without a hat in public.
And my mom STILL asks me if I am wearing a slip under my dress whenever I am dressed up. I won't say how old I am but SHE is 87!:)

Mom is right. Technically you should not wear white between Labor Day and Memorial Day - it is still unfashionable. You can wear winter white (which has an light yellow hue to it).

Of course you can wear whatever you like, but that does not mean that it is fashionable or in style.

Best wishes!

I dont think so, if you will wear that. you might end up looking like you have snow below your waist allover. Kidding aside, when it comes to winter, dark earth toned colors are the most trendy. If you notice fashion houses always use grey, brown, charcoal colors during Autumn/Winter Collections. The most basic thing to do for you to look trendy whatever season is the colors that goes with it. Light colors are mostly for Spring/Summer collections.
