no, I like seeing the dresses but I hardly ever watch the actual ceremony...can't believe how much the goodie bags are worth though-over 70000 dollars, it's unreal-a family could easily live on that for a year!

I totally agree with the fact that wasting sooo much money for gowns,bags,jewelry and so on is a sin. I'm saying that as a Christian,but I do really mean it. Anyway...I live in the suburb! Grey buildinds,grey people,grey sky ;-(((((( Dreaming is free, and the Oscars are also meant to make people dream and escape from reality (for a night,of course!). I won't watch the whole ceremony,but I'm curious to see the resume next day.

Nor the Golden Globes, nor any of the Hollywood oriented stupid tv shows like Idol and Model and the ilk. I just don't get why these things glue people to their tv set. I have much better things to do with my life (LOL like be on the computer).
Don't care much for big sporting events either while I'm at it.
The Olympics is the only big event I like to watch and frankly, I prefer to see them in another country because the US media makes them such. I saw the Barcelona Olympics in Canada and it was the best coverage ever, even tho I had to translate the French to my kids.

I love watching the Oscars but not because I particularly CARE who does or doesn't win, it's just a bit of fun. I will still decide for myself if I like a film after I watch it for myself. I just like the fashion and fuss...

Kind of - I love the clothes. It does clue you in as to what movies
might be good to rent. I think Ellen DeGeneres (sp?) will be
funny.

I DO. I LOVE THEM...I love watching the red carpet and all the fashion and of course my favorite part is to see who winnsss...yayy theyr're tomoroowwww : )
