Is it called the Nuva Ring?? they insert that into you so you dont get pregnant..you can still have sex..you get it taken out when you are ready to get pregnant..and for mommys_lil_goodie2shoes...its not a pill you dont take birth control pills when you find out your pregnant..that is bad for the baby...The nuva ring is a rubber ring implanted inside of you..

Are you talking about the "nuvaring" which is a clear ring that is inserted? Or if it looked tool-like, it may have just been an IUD (Intrauterine device) which is shaped like a T and is placed into the uterus for birth control, it can stay there for several years. You can check out this website for some more information on the IUD, if that's what you saw:

Sounds like an IUD - intrauterine device. It is a small object inserted into the uterus that prevents fertilized eggs from attaching to the uterus. Some IUDs have hormones in them, which gives another level of birth control.

You are probably talking about an IUD. I promise you don't want to try one. They do NOT prevent pregnancy, they cause abortions. I have seen it happen.
