Yes, I had the Rhogam shot with both of my pregnancies -- once during the pregnancy and again after the baby is born. It wasn't a big deal, really. For me it was just another shot. I mean compared to what you're going to go through during childbirth, this is a cakewalk! :D

When I had most of my kids they only gave the shot AFTER the baby was born. With my last one, the doctor told me that I would need one while I was pregnant --I did not have it --I refused. The baby turned out OK, but I would not advise others to gamble like that.
The shot is not a problem. It will prevent some really terrible problems that could occur.

I have to be honest with you. I've had the shot twice this pregnancy. It's not fun. It felt cold and thick. You can feel it going down your leg. i got it in my hip. But this is my second pregnancy, so I guess it didn't hurt too bad. I also had it twice with my first. You'll be fine. Just think, once it's over, you won't have it again!!

Yes, you get a shot in the butt mid-way thru pregnancy and then after you deliver. No big deal at all. But VERY important.

I had it after I lost my twins. To prevent it happening again.
I actually had put straight into my IV so I didnt feel a thing.
Try not to worry about it and remember its for the best.
Good luck for the birth and a big HI for the baby when he/she arrives

I received RhoGam with both of my succesful pregnancies(my first endedin a MC). With my second pregnancy(1st succesful) I got the shot after a bleeding episode at 12w, then at the normal 28w, and I didn't require one after his birth; because he got my blood type(O-). With my last pregnancy I got the shot at 28w, and then had to receive it after his birth because he got my husband's blood type(A+).

I had a few during pregnancy for one reason or another...the trick is to wriggle your toes whilst their doing it and grit your teeth. It's not that bad and you gotta have it. Good luck.
