I can't my bluetooth headset to link?

I just got a new phone so i want to link my old headset to my new one...i went through the instructions and waited for the purple light..but when i open the boom it doesn't stay on but instead blinks blue. I have a razr phone and a h700 motorola head set....I would really like to avoid buying a new one so any help would be greatly appreciated.

New headsets are often below $40 now, so they usually aren't that bad. Make sure that your phone is on, and it says "find me." Then you can search for the bluetooth headset and hopefully they will link then. Try asking at http://www.cellphoner.net/ many of them have bluetooth headsets and they should be able to explain how to do this.
