I want to buy my husband a new gadget or tool for our anniversary. He's a handy, do-it-yourself guy. What's on the guy wish list these days?

Anything with a laser in it is consider ultra nowadays. If he doesn't have a laser level that is a great one for $20-30. If he has an older circular saw or a jig saw without a laser the ones with it built-in make it easier to realize where you are going to cut.

A professional style rolling tool box is always a winner for a couple of hundred dollars. (It keeps all those power tools organized and available).

If you want to blow $2000 there is a computer controlled automatic wood carver that uses a laser to blast out whatever words, pictures, or photos you download from your computer. That is as elegant (and overpriced) as you can get.

If he has only one cordless drill, get him a second that way he will be able to drill a hole with one and use the other as a screwdriver. Get a spare battery for each so one can be charging whilst the other is in use.

Go to the Hardware store and ask what are the latest gadgets.

Tops on my list is a compound miter saw with laser guides. Next would be a bench top table saw. For tools, be sure to get a name brand. You really do get what you pay for.

I love my battery powered porta band saw.
I install electrical conduit on a daily basis. Cutting it is half the battle. We used hacksaws, etc. for years till i found this jewel. 12" blade..lightweight, compact, sweet..

Can also be used to cut pieces of wood, plastic, steel , and works very well on tree pruning..
Its something any handyman would love..
