Is it professional jealousy? You shouldn't have to do that. But if it has gotten to the point where it will affect you performance and productivity then find another job. First find a new job then leave the old job with dignity.

It sounds like you are embarrassed....I wouldn't be too surprised if you were! I would just ignore what the other idiots you are forced to work with say. I remember back in high school when a girl asked for help in music class, so she went to get help at lunch. Right when she came back out, people were starting to spread rumours saying that she was sleeping with the music teacher. Don't listen to what everyone else is saying, they are probably just jealous of you because you can be friends with the manager and they can't....maybe your manager hates the other workers! I would just simply say "no, those are just rumours." It might be the topic of discussion for the next few days, but it will end eventually. If you really don't feel that you can work there, then, yes, you should find another job.

You might not have to quit but you should have had enough respect for your spouse to not be so friendly with your boss that other people would think this of you in the first place.
Never sleep with a boss or co-worker it always ends up a disaster even if as you stated you didn't do anything it sure seemed that way to others so cool it a little and things should be OK.

because searching for a job if you're employed isn't dishonest and also you job don't have thoughts. yet another element, you want a job to help your self. you don't want a relationship. absolutely from time to time it really is suitable to be on my own between relationships.

No way. If you left now, people would definately think you were having an affair. Stay and hold your head high.

I wouldn't care what others think. If you feel THAT insecure about being around your boss and co-workers, I would reccomend quitting, but personally, I would ignore them.

Start looking.....
Quit , if you can afford to so you can look full-time.
Better yet - start your own business.
