Let's be honest, the Celtics will NOT be contenders next year. What they need to do, is accept the fact that they need to rebuild, and then proceed accordingly. Too many teams have that "win now" attitude, and all it does is get them into the type of mess that Boston is in. I'm a Knick fan, and we have the exact same problem. These cities are so used to having a team that is at least playoff bound, they're more interested in a quick fix. These days, the salary caps also play a such huge role in the way players are acquired, that teams get put together with little regard for a concept known as "chemistry". It's time for Boston to take a step back and rethink their approach.

They need to play hard every minute they are on the floor, play smart by using one another to score and defend; and play together, by supporting one another and encouraging each other regardless of the score and outcome.
