from the beggining of this pregnancy ive had so many people comment on twins...and i have had one ultrasound at about 17 weeks...at this ultrasound the baby was tucked into the placenta so it was hard to see the little squirt, also the baby bearly moved expecially its lower half of its body...
even with me telling people they only saw one some people still say na we are thinking twins..
i myself was also thinking twins for a while too..this pregnancy has been much more different then in the past (yes i know all pregnancys can all be different)
at my last doctors appointment im 31weeks and i measured 35 weeks...basicly 4 weeks ahead.
so my question is do you think there is any reason i should still think twins or should i just give that idea up....

i thought i should say that i had a very horrible doctor that has blown me off about everything i just now saw a new doctor this far into my pregnancy..and she just said im measuring bigger then normal...and she did schedule a ultrasound because of it..
and i am in alot more pain and having alot more problems this time..i can hardly more or sleep or anything..
also..they wouldnt find 2 heartbeats when they dont move the thing around looking for a second..they place it and basicly find the heart beat in almost the same spot...
ok just though id add these details..

You're 31 weeks? There is no way that you have a surprise twin inside of you. There would be two heartbeats.

I am pregnant with twins and I am measuring 43 weeks at 31 weeks. If they didnt see another baby, hear 2 heart beats or even mention a level 2 u/s to find out if you are measuring too big then its prob NOT twins. Also you would know by now yourself if it was. Its VERY unlikley!!!! I would give up on the idea because you would have needed to be on bedrest and complaining about everything by now. I am 32 weeks now and cant even MOVE or get up for that matter. Good Luck with your singleton though!!!!

I cant even walk, or move at all, I cant eat, I have heartburn horribly, I am HUGE not just the Huge that I was with my other 3 I MEAN HUGE!!!! I am telling you you would KNOW!!! And only messuring 4 weeks ahead did you think maybe they have your due date wrong because that is very common? Not being able to sleep is very normal. Do you feel the baby kick you in 2 different places at once? Or how about gaining 70lbs? or can you feel the baby falling out of you while also feeling it curled up under your ribs?

no, I am pregnant with twins and they would know by now. They spotted mine in an ultrasound at about 11 weeks. Also if you only measured 4 weeks early, that is not enough. I am 20 weeks but measure that of a 32 week singleton pregnancy. With modern technology, they would know by now. Sorry to disappoint you, but try to be happy that you have one beautiful life coming. Some women don't even get that joy.

If it were earlier in your pregnancy I could say yes, but this far along no. They would have caught it by now, via ultrasound or the fetal heart monitor. Sorry.

usually you will see two babies at the ultrasound... so if they didn't see two babies.. then no. I dont think your having twins. Sorry. Also if you were when they check your babies heart rate at each checkup they would hear two beats.. not just one. So i am sure at 31 weeks you would know.

I think you are having one baby. If the ultrasund didn't reveal a second baby, then the Fetal Heart Moniter would have picked up on a second heart beat. I'm sorry :(
