That is, before they bite. We have a beautiful lanai and are troubled by mosquitos. We have burned citronella products with mixed success. We are thinking about investing in an electric bug zapper of some kind. Does anyone have any thoughts about which kind is best or even if they work? or what actually does work? Thanks a lot.

One thing that really does work is leaving out aluminum pie plates with dishwashing soap in them. Mosquitos are attracted to water as this is where they nest and lay their eggs and where the young hatch. However, they also drink the stuff. And dishwashing liquid kills them quickly. Put them around your yard, they're easy to hide... and soon you will be mosquito free.
