I can tolerate the Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford body types, but why are these new models so skinny and sickly looking. Who thinks looking like your starved is beautiful?

fat is ugly?? well so is stick skinny. You can be slim, healthy and in shape without looking like your starved.

i have wondered about this too. i think someone with some natural womanly curves is ten times prettier than some woman who starves her self to get back down to their birth weight. These models have no shape or natural curves, they don't relate to the average woman. I don't think stick skinny is attractive.
And i hate how the media jumped all over Tyra Banks for gaining some weight. She is an average weight for her height now.

i would like to know that too, i think it is so unfair on how designers only want skinny and tall models, i dont think it is pretty at all. they look sick and basically starve themselves to look like that. There are alot of beautiful normal sized short people out there. I hope one day it will all change.

Since most designers are gay, they are insulting the vast majority of women who will never look like a model.
They also use a lot less material for a thin, thin girl than they would for a larger woman.

its the designers making that call? Why DO they have models so thin? I am sure they would be happy if the clothes just floated down there and modeled themsleves cause that is almost what it looks like ... lol.

Apparently they want the models to look like living clothes hangers. It's the current trend. Hopefully this trend will soon run its course. Although there are a few young women who are natrually thin, there are many more (models as well as those who admire and emulate them) who hurt themselves to get this way.
