I am looking for a new doctor, and I'm not sure of any good ones. Other than trying out approved ones from my insurance list, I'm not sure where to start! I just need a general family practice. And NOT through Kelsey Seybold!

if you have insurance you can call them and they will be able to tell you a list of doctors and alot of the time will be able to tell you almost anything you want to know about them.. They can even make your appointment.
I think I used to call 1-800-doctors and they would be able to refer me to a good one for my needs.

Sweetheart, Yahoo Answers is about the second-to-last place I'd be asking about a good doctor. (The last place I'd look is Wikipedia).

Start by trying the ones on your insurance list. Why aren't you using them? You are just throwing away money if you aren't. Call around, ask your CO-WORKERS who live near you.

ww.houstonareaweb.com/hospitals - 47k -

I'm not familiarwith Houston, but this lookslike a list ofhospitals in the Houston area.
Call one close to you and ask them to suggest a physician, or at least steer you to theirweb site.

Most hospitals list on theirweb site the doctors who work there.
