Some good music?

Question

I love music a lot and I'm really open to bands artists that are a bit more different than the really popular ones. But where I live, it's hard to hear music from lesser known musicians just from word of mouth or through the radio (the only stations I get just play the big hits over and over). If anyone wants to throw out some bands, songs, or artists out at me that would be appreciated!

And to give you an idea of what I like...I listen to a lot of things, whether it be something sweet and pretty or something dark and loud. For the most part I like faster moving, bouncier songs, but I also like some slow songs if the vocals and the lyrics are really good.

Oh! You should really listen to Chevelle! They are my favorite band in the whole wide world! [Wow, that was a really 3rd grade thing to say...] Chevelle is an amazing band. I love their music, because the lyrics are incredibly meaningful and abstract, Pete, the singer, his voice is amazing! Pete also plays guitar, and he's amazing. I love Chevelle! Listen to their new single, Well Enough Alone, and music from the album, This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In).
