My school has a few players who have play the three sports in a year because of small school.

i play volleyball and basketball, and i thought about track...but my school is miniscule and we only have 3 sports.

A player can play 2 sports at the same time, because alot of the guys on the baseball team when I played also ran track.

I played 3 sports in high school...both in NJ and WA (split high school between the two) it was pretty common. I think as long as it is the student's decision rather than pressure from one of their coaches, it's a really good choice. In high school, it should really be all about balancing it with school work, and so long as you can do it, the more power to you!

At our school you could do volleyball or football in september, Then in november there was basketball afterschool, and swimming before school, then in february there was badminton and around march you could do field hockey or rugby or soccer. So technically you could do 5 in the same year!
