I am writing a paper for college on welfare and the national debt. I have checked the U.S. Census website, but I believe that information about the number of people on welfare is confidential because I cannot find it. Is there any way I can get any information on that or poverty?

I work for social services in Nevada and the money handed out is astronomical. Nevada flew a homeless man to Utah for a liver tranplant cause by drinking too much he killed his liver. Cost $500,000 tax dollars. I'm told if you cut case load you eliminate cases you eliminate jobs. Believe me with all the government programs, you wouldn't believe it.
