I know a woman who is near identical to the Kathy Bates character in Misery.. except for the hobbling and kidnapping.. she is very happy sometimes and then will just fly into a rage like her even getting violent.. how would you diagnose this behavior

I'd say her character is pretty bipolar. Bipolar 1. She also has some obsessive compulsive characteristics.
