And the guy I bought it from took his battery back to use in another car and I told him it was ok.... well got it home and got another battery and guess what, I hook it up wrong. Well apparently the positive and negative battery cables are reversed on this model and now it won't start. I will trace the wires out but before I start. Is there a fused wire or a fuse that went bad when I applied the cables to the terminals, I am getting nothing at the moment. Thanks In Advance.

GM products used "fusable links" in their vehicles. One should be one of the wires going to the solenoid on the starter. If you fried it, it will be scorched and melted at the very least, and brittle. That one also affects the entire ignition circuit...

After you repair that, you may want to check all fuses, including inline ones that are hard to find.

Good luck, it is a good car that only increases in value as long as you keep it stock, and well maintained!

I would first test this battery to see if it is live. There is not that much in a car that would be affected, you are just sending battery voltage to the frame.

but the battery may have gotten destroyed inside. I would try another battery that I know works for sure.

i own a repair shop and there's several fusible links that come off the starter for this car, you,ll have to check everyone of them, its probably blown a few of them, and along with that you probably will need a new alternator also, revering the current on a car is the worst thing you can do to it,other than run it dry on oil, you,ll also need to check every fuse it has and every where you see a fusible link,i hope you got a good deal on this car, because this little mistake is going to cost you some money before its right again, all i can tell you is you have to check everything,on the car, there's no proper procedure for doing this, its one that's not in the repair manual, good luck with it,and take your time, and be really patient with it,good luck i hope this help,s.

those things are negative ground , just like every other American car , the cable that goes to the engine or the frame is the negative one
