I use Muvee for just organizing pix and silent vids set to music. I also like to use Windows Movie Maker for a lot of easy-to-learn editing.

You have to "code down" the vid to a mpeg. You'll note the quality on Youtube isn't so good, but the file sizes are. I'm on Linux, I use a program called ffmpeg to convert .avi to lo-res mpeg. You might be Windows, I THINK I've read on Yahoo Answers people using the Yahoo upload to videos to convert. Search Answers about emailing a video.

there is no standard moviemaker-most use what is compatible with their camera or recorder-others use a specialty program or whatever came with their pc.
