Hi, I'm a girl and I'm 12 years old, I'm one of the tallest people in my grade, am i too tall? I like this guy that's 3 cm shorter than me, should i still like him even though he's shorter than me?

I was taller than most of my friends when I was your age too. Now I am just average because it all evened out as I got older. Height shouldn't matter at all, and don't stop liking this guy because of the height difference. Embrace your height, and the rest of your body as well.

No, girls grow faster than boys do during this stage in life. I am 5 foot 3 and I am 23 years old. I was 5 foot 3 in the 7th grade. So I haven't grown in 11 years, you may or may not get taller but I was always a tall girl in junior high and now I am shorter that a lot of people. You are fine!

Dont worry about it! Guys get taller shorter than girls do. I was really tall when I was 12 and literally looked at the top of every guys head, but then they started to catch up and eventually pass me. Dont worry, Your not too tall! Go ahead, like him! Height does not equal character!

its not too tall. People grow at different rates. You may grow more and you may not even grow at all. When i was 11 i was 4'11 then by 12 i was 5'2, i'm 19 now and im 5'3...so i've only grown an inch since that time and i dont see myself growing anymore. I'm already taller than my mom...she's only 5'1. So dont worry. And if you like someone and they are shorter than it shouldnt matter...there are even 12 yr olds that are taller than 5'3.
p.s. girls also grow faster than boys at that age...but then when the boys turn like 14 or so they start to shoot up and then the girls seem short :)

haha I'm only a year older than u nd my friend is 5'3'' and i'm like 5'6''....people around my age at my school r like around 5'5'' or shorter... I dont think ur too tall heck wen I was 12..(about 3 weeks ago n further) I was about5'4....But dont worry in a couple of years you'll stop growing so that others can catch up lol nd then u'll grow at a slower rate.
ps-- I liked a boy who was like up to my waist...i thought he would never like me but he loveddd flirting with me lol he would hug my hips alot b/c that was the best place of me he could reach...hahahah-----But he grew....man those were tha dayyyz............

no, 5 "3 is not too tall at 12. all that has happened is you might be ahead of your friends as far as height goes. girls have a tendency to sprout up before boys. at least that was the case for me when i was your age. this is common. in a couple of years you will notice a lot of the boys taller then you. no worries.

I am 5'6" and have been this height since 7th grade when I was 12. I always towered over all of my friends including the boys. Now at 31, I am still 5'6" and most of my friends caught up, or passed me up. You're just growing fast young. Be happy for that! You definitely don't want to be short, trust me...

NO WAY! You are perfectly fine. And also girls grow faster during your age group anyways so don't worry too much about it. By high school they will be catching up to you. Also there's nothing wrong with liking a guy who is shorter than you. If you like him then you not only like him for his physical appearance but you like him for his personality so, nope nothing wrong with it.

im a tall girl too. i was the tallest in my class for a few years, yeah surely at ur age too! bt neway, i wouldnt be so worried abt guys at ur age!
common girl, u'll meet taller guys as u grow older (if u dun like shorter guys) and who knws, ur crush might become taller than u.

Hey, your height is no problem at all. When i was your age, i use to talk to a guy that was much shorter than i was. He was very sweet and all. It's only a pity that we lost contact.
