If it's for some sort of layout, what ist it and how do you use it?

stanley tape measures have diamond shape marks at 19 3/16 inches. i also heard it was for some sort of floor joist layout.

Follow-up to Bigg Dogg; yes, 19.2 is one fifth of a full ply sheet, and this stud spacing is used mainly on 2x6 construction.It is more energy efficient to reduce the number of thermal bridges across exterior walls.

The 16 oc is for standard mesaurements
Stud layout , used in building most everything is based on 16
YOu might have a metric tape check and see it 19.2 is equeal to 16, really not sure my self use differnet tape

ON MY TAPE THE DIAMONDS ARE ON 16" CENTERS. Used for lay out of wall. Everywhere there is a diamond is 16" from the last diamond(centered)

bigg dogg is right , i understand if 16 in. centers are overkill for what you are doing and 2 ft. centers arent enough, go with the diamonds for spacing...

its stands for 19.2" inches on center......u can lay out ur studwalls on 16" oc and 19.2 oc and 24' oc.....ur plywood will break on these layouts.......

They show center to center of your wall studs.
