The money for bail is only held by the court for the purpose of ensuring that you show up for court. Once you have pleaded out or had a trial and the case was closed, there is no need for the money, they give it back to you. But you DO NOT get the fee to the bail bondsman back.

Usually you do not get your money back. And if your case hasn't been resolved within one year, you owe the same amount again, as it is considered an annual premium.
