They just beat PItt to be #1 in the Big East!

fastd03, GU: C '80, here.

It's so good to see them winning big games down the stretch this year. Even since Big John T retired, it has seemed like they go on a big losing streak at the end of the season. And now they are getting hot instead!

I would say that Pitt is weaker then usual. A lot of people here in Pittsburgh were considering them their strongest team ever.

Georgetown in the class of the Big East tonight. WInning it in New York would confirm this, but the only thing I'd worry about is that Gray will be fully healthy by then, and Dixon loves coaching in New York.

I's a senior at Gtown, and I'm gonna have to say YES! To put away a little bias, I think Pitt is not as good a team as their record would suggest, but Georgetown has done a good job of just continuing to manufacture wins (11 straight now!), has been finding their identity as a team, and definitely has the ability to make a dent in the tournament! It's the most exciting time for Gtown basketball in 20 years!
