I work with this one women that smiles in my face and talks about me behind my back a few people have told me the same things and i know they are true because they know things only she would know...I thought we were friends...I dont care to be her friend at all anymore...I do not want to say anything to her because I dont want to get anything started I am a manager and she is a hourly employee that knows a little to much about me (outside of work stuff) How do i stop talking to her?

Ugh; you should have kept a professional distance. Still, no use crying over spilled milk; just deal with her as you would any other employee, and let the water go under the bridge. Look at it this way: today's gossip is going to be replaced by tomorrow's gossip.

"Leak" the word out that she's on the verge of getting canned due to unnecessary trouble that she is well known to start and your boss is practically insisting that she be fired unless this stops. If she's smart, she'll stop and think about that before she opens her mouth again.

Just stop talking to her about your personal business. Talk about work stuff only, and do not trust her anymore.
