How about a reality check lads?

Most people would agree that Ireland are second favourites to win the world cup, so no shame there. It's by far the best Irish team that I have ever seen. They should do well short term, however, they must win the World Cup this year, because alto of their players will retire afterwards.

Andrew Sheridan, Steve Borthwick, Jason Robinson, Mark Queto, Steve Thompson, Richard Hill, (now back playing), Lewis Moody are all experienced players that could return.

From where we were after the Autumn tests, we are significantly better. A big bonus is that Robinson has been sacked.

Playing in front of that crowd, on such a significant day for the Irish, it's not the end of the world!

It could be a lot worse! If you were Welsh or Scottish, that's when you should start worrying, after those two performances.

To be straight, the only major ****-up from England was the intercepted pass that led to the final try by Boss...but by then England were already beaten. England weren't that terrible..but Ireland were a lot better on the day. End of story.

Makes Ireland's defeat by France all the galling, as otherwise they'd have a serious chance of winning the six nations..but it looks as though France are coasting now.

You pretty much summed it up Jeff. I honestly don't believe that England could of won today. It was set for an Irish victory there wasn't any possibilty of any other outcome in my opinion. If we play the way we did today during the world cup then I think we could be talking about 'Ireland World Champions' in a few months....it's only a matter of time before world domination!!hahahahahaha

A sad performance, but there again, what do you expect. We are still a long way from the 2003 team and performances. And ireland where predicted heavily to win the grand slam this year. I know the French are on course to retain the slam at the moment. But we have to regroup and build on experiances

If Ireland hit the ground runnig against France in the first twenty minutes the Grand Slam was ours!!!!!!! To beat the World Champion by 30 points is ...................................! I dont have to say anything! Ireland are without a doubt World Cup contenders, to say otherwise is pure igorance!
